Dr. Anu Malik

PhD, MPH

 Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Anu Malik is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 14 years of experience in the academic setting. After completing her doctorate in clinical psychology at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2010, she did her postdoctoral training at the New College of Florida Counseling and Wellness Center, where she periodically continues to provide clinical services to students in the college setting.

Dr. Malik is a proud parent of three children, which has provided a useful perspective for understanding differences in learning, ability, and aptitudes in school-aged children. These perspectives serve to inform evidence-based findings from assessments with appropriate community and school-based recommendations for the students she serves to support.

As a team-member at Herrera Psychology, Dr. Malik is working to integrate her clinical and assessment backgrounds under the mentorship of Dr. Stacie Herrera. Her goal is to be able to provide services to the community that support and uphold the values of the practice. In particular, she aims to focus on each individual as a “person first” so that she can learn, understand, and appreciate each child’s unique pattern of strengths and vulnerabilities in order to identify appropriate interventions and services to help them thrive in all settings.
